Round tables > Access to and use of American "cultural" sources in French and European researchCultural sources round table Tuesday 13 June from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm MILC S410 Organization: Símele Soares Rodrigues (LARHRA - Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3) and Bertrand Van Ruymbeke (TransCrit - Université Paris 8 Vincennes - Saint-Denis) Speakers: Antoine Acker (Geneva Graduate Institute), Hend Jabeur (TransCrit - Université Paris 8 Vincennes - Saint-Denis) and Beatriz Tadeo Fuica (Université Sorbonne Nouvelle) Presentation Principal objectives : to question the nature of "cultural" sources : offical sources (administrative documents) and the new use to write a new cultural history or international relations, and non-official sources (theatre programs, exhibtion catalogues) and their contribution for a global and transamerican history ; take stock of the situation regarding the acces to theus kind of sources in private and public archives in the Americas ; reflect on the way to make them available on research platforms (digital history) in the frame of open research. The round table will be composed of young researchers and researchers in history, cultural studies from french, argentinian, brazilian and swiss universities. |
