Round tables > Researchers as analyst of the American newsJoker round table Wednesday 14 June from 5:45 pm to 7:15 pm Palais Hirsch, Grand amphithéâtre Organization: Robert Boyer (EHESS) Speakers: Presentation The goal is to show that the knowledge collected by researchers on their various field studies can turn thelm into better analysts of the actualities than many journalists. 15 days before the date of the Congress, a small group will set up a list of potential actuality topics. The day before the opening, a subject is chosen and the organiser contacts speakers of the Congress, from all disciplines and specialties, asking them if they are willing to prepare a short intervention on the chosen question, in the light of their research experience. The organiser composes a round table representing the diversity of approaches and institutional belonging, in order to favor discussion between the speakers. The chosen themes were "The populisms" in 2019 and "the Covid-19 and the transformation of practices in social sciences research" in 2021. |
